Rochester Kids is pleased to provide an update on Kadre Roberts, its first multi-year JMJ Memorial Scholarship recipient. Kadre graduated from East High School in June of 2010. In May, 2014 she graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems. At RIT, Kadre served as President of the AALANA (African-American Latino-American Native American) Collegiate Association, a Mentor for the Charlotte High School See Your Future Program, a student liaison for the Rochester City School District Middle College Program, and a Peer Advisor for the RIT Higher Education Opportunity Program. She was also a Ronald E. McNair Scholar.
Upon graduation, Kadre was accepted into the Information Technology Leadership Program at GE Aviation. She is currently beginning her fourth and last rotation for GE in Detroit, Michigan. She now serves on the Board of Rochester Kids.
