           JMJ Memorial Lacrosse TournamentIMG 1343 1 225x300 - Information

The 11th Annual JMJ Memorial Lacrosse Tournament is scheduled for Sunday, June 3 at Total Sports Experience in Gates.   Here is the 2018 Tourney Packet which includes additional information and registration.

The 10th  Annual JMJ Memorial Lacrosse Tournament was held Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Rochester Regional Health Total Sports Experience (TSE) and was a wonderful success. It rained most of the day but there were no thunderstorms meaning that the games continued.  At wrap up time around two o’clock the sun came out.

The tournament is an event celebrating the life of Jeff-Milano Johnson, the 14 year old Pittsford Varsity Lacrosse player who died in 2007 of a cerebral aneurysm while warming up for a lacrosse game in Spencerport.  The tournament aims to keep the spirit of this vibrant young man who loved lacrosse alive. The tournament also serves as the only fundraiser for Rochester Kids, the organization established in Jeff’s memory. Rochester Kids provides scholarships to kids in the city, supports city lacrosse and sponsors ROCKidsCONNECT, a unique city-suburban partnership.

There were 23 teams who competed in total this year. The Tournament included 7/8 and 9/10 grade boys lacrosse teams that had completed their spring seasons.  Apex (Horseheads) won the Modified level and Canandaigua the JV level.

Thanks to the many sponsors of the event including the McDermott Family Foundation, the Pittsford Community Lacrosse Association, Connor and Ferris LLP, the Democrat and Chronicle, US Lacrosse Rochester Chapter, Mazda of West Ridge, Millennium Machinery, H & C Tool Supply Corporation, Golden Flyers Nazareth Lacrosse Camp, Thirsty Turtle, CompassionandSupport.org, Lynne Halik, DDS, Pediatric Dentistry and Westfall Dental.

Thanks to all of our silent auction vendors. Thanks to our many volunteers.
